Rafa Martínez

Born in Cartagena, Colombia. Independent narrative filmmaker

His Aeromexico campaign is the most successful viral film in the history of advertising of any agency or Colombian production house and has garnered numerous industry awards, including D&AD, One Show, and a Cannes Lions in the Film category.

Rafa has filmed short films in London, Bogotá, Madrid, Cartagena, and New York, some of them were premiered in important international film festivals such as Zinebi in Bilbao, Spain.

Three times winner of the colombian film fund. His first feature film El Piedra (The Missed Round) was acquired by HBO.

El Piedra, his debut feature, was official selection at relevant international films festivales such as Mannheim-Heidelberg, Cairo, Huelva, FICCI, among others, and it was acquired by HBO.

He premiered the short film Round Numbers at the Zinebi in Bilbao, Spain.

Rafa is one of the directors of Ritmo Salvaje (Wild Rythm) a Netflix original series.
